Official IB Ed Workshop - Wellbeing across the school community - CAT 3 - Face to Face Cardiff 17 - 19th October 2025
RECOMMENDED FOR:
All teachers and school leaders who want to explore how to develop a whole school approach to wellbeing in their school
How do we define wellbeing within our school community and implement strategies for wellbeing that will positively impact and empower students and educators?
When students feel supported and mentally healthy, they are better equipped to engage in their studies, perform well academically, and form positive relationships with peers and teachers. Prioritizing wellbeing in schools not only promotes happier, healthier students but also lays the foundation for a more productive and inclusive educational experience.
In this workshop, participants will explore how: Prioritizing student wellbeing through investments of time, funds, and resources not only advances their overall welfare but also correlates with improved academic achievements. Tailoring the definition of wellbeing to align with the specific context of each school is a recommended practice. Recognizing that the wellbeing of teachers significantly influences the wellbeing of students underscores the importance of implementing policies that prioritize the support and wellbeing of educators. Focusing on subjective wellbeing and overall satisfaction with school life offers a practical, measurable, and comprehensive approach. It provides schools with a concrete opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young individuals
