An unforgettable experience at the African Education Festival 2025 in Kigali!
Last weekend, educators, school leaders, and policymakers from across the continent came together to explore innovative learning strategies under the theme “Leading and Learning in Africa.”
I was honoured to facilitate a packed-to-capacity session on Universal Design for Learning (UDL) - engaging with passionate educators committed to creating inclusive, student-centred environments where all learners can thrive. The energy, insights, and dedication in the room were truly inspiring!
Why UDL? Because every learner deserves a voice, choice, and an environment that adapts to their strengths. Together, we explored practical strategies to transform classrooms and ignite student agency across diverse educational settings.
And what a treat it was to witness the amazing students who shared their talents through an authentic, vibrant dance performance - getting the entire crowd on its feet! Their energy, rhythm, and passion were a true celebration of culture and community.
A huge thank you to everyone who participated, shared insights, and contributed to these meaningful conversations. Let’s continue to collaborate and reimagine the future of education in Africa!
